Former captain Sourav Ganguly may become the new chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI). Ganguly said that “this is a great opportunity for me to do something good. I will be sitting in this chair at a time when the image of the board is constantly deteriorating “.

Ganguly’s name for the post of president came up in the BCCI meeting on Sunday night. Brijesh Patel is also involved in this race.

The name of Amit Shah’s son Jai Shah is also in the news

Jai Shah, son of BJP President and Home Minister Amit Shah, is set to be appointed as Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India. Apart from this, Rupa Gurunath, daughter of former BCCI president N Srinivasan, is the new president of Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. On the other hand, Arun Thakur, brother of Anurag Thakur, is the President of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association. Recently in Rajasthan, Vaibhav Gehlot, son of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, has got the post of RCI President.

If Sourav Ganguly is elected chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI), then his tenure will only be for 10 months. Because according to the BCCI, they will have to go for a 3-year cooling-off period in September next year.
