Mumbai: This Has Shown to be a Serious Security Concern. With his Bandra house, Bollywood actor Saif Ali khan was assaulted by a stranger holding a knife. This unfortunate event took place late Wednesday night when the intruder forced his way into the actors’ Shared Sadguru building located on the South Bandra. The actor’s staff immediately rushed him in Lilavati Hospital where now, he is reported to be out of any danger. The insultant put up a physical fight injuring Saif with two deep cuts,’ one being near the ankle and the other being extremely close to his spine. But still, the attack put forth major issues regarding security in Saif’s residential area.
As per reports, the attacker managed to get into Saif’s house through the fire escape, circumventing the security guards in the building. The sequence of events started when the attacker barged into the room of Saif’s younger son, Jeh, who was accompanied by his nanny Lima. On seeing the strange man, Lima screamed, which alerted Saif. A Chaotic struggle broke out where the other was stabbed and Lima who rushed to cover Jeh was wounded as well. He escaped before the security guards or the police reached the premises. For instance, the security of the building had on record the images of a suspicious person coming down the fire escape aiming at its stairs which the police deduced was the attacker. The police are continuing the investigation with 18 police officers engaged in locating the attacker.
Not only has the terrifying event left the actor’s family in disbelief, but it has also rocked the Bollywood industry and its fanbase. While the attack was happening, Kareena was a little bit away and later took to her social media to voice her concerns. “Our family has been stressed quite a bit and still is. We are in the middle of reconciling with the events of the previous night. I ask the journalists not to promote unverified allegations and give us space,” posted Kareena on her Twitter account. Fans have come out in support of the actor and many also wondered how residential security works for a city like Mumbai. Meanwhile, Saif’s elder son, Taimur, went to the hospital with him, while Jeh was taken care of by Lima and the building staff.
The incident has led to wider discussions around safety and police presence in the city following a series of high-crime incidents. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has assured that the government will take prompt measures, saying that Mumbai can never be considered insecure after one or two incidents. In response, the opposition leader’s comment on the government’s ability to maintain adequate safety and security, as stated in this recent attack, along with the recent assassination of the former Minister Baba Siddiqui. At this moment, while the police are still on the lookout for the invader, it is aptly ringing in that no one, not even the most protected of people, can be completely free from security violations. A missile and even more bombs are required to destroy this analysis social structure of modern Indian newspapers.
