He was the second child in the family and has represented his home city of Daejeon at a national level in short-track speed racing. Because of an injury during his first year of high school, he had to give up his passion for skating. He scored 380 out of 400 on his national college entrance test and got admission to Sungkyunkwan University.

He recently played the part of the Italian mafia in the Netflix web series “Vincenzo”, which became the 4th most-watched Korean web series on Netflix in 2021.
