Udit Narayan, an Indian playback singer, has largely had songs included in Hindi films. UDIT NARAYAN EARLY LIFE

In 1955, Udit Narayan Jha was born to an Indian mother, Bhuvaneshwari Jha and a Nepalese father, Harekrishna Jha, in a Maithil Brahmin family. When Udit Narayan received India’s highest civilian honour, the Padma Shri, in 2009, rumours were challenging his Indian citizenship and asserting that he was born in Nepal. Udit Narayan, however, called these rumours “absolutely incorrect” and claimed that he was born at his maternal grandparent’s house in the Baisi hamlet of Bihar’s Supaul region.

In the 1990s and the early 2000s, Narayan was one of Bollywood’s most well-known vocalists. He has provided the on-screen vocals for several Bollywood celebrities. Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, Dev Anand, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Ajay Devgn are just a few of the Bollywood stars for whom he has performed. He sings duets primarily with Alka Yagnik. His closest professional competition was Kumar Sanu, who in the 1990s won five straight Filmfare Awards. Alka Yagnik, Kavita Krishnamurthy, and music director Ankit Tiwari are some of Narayan’s contemporary artists who have commended his work. UDIT NARAYAN PERSONAL LIFE

Ranjana Narayan claimed in 2006 that she was the Narayans’ first wife, despite the Narayans’ repeated denials. He later admitted she was his wife and pledged to assist her. Narayan married twice, first to Ranjana Narayan Jha and then to Deepa Narayan Jha. He began seeing Deepa Narayan while still married to Ranjana Narayan. Narayan and Deepa married in 1985. His son with Deepa Narayan, Aditya Narayan, is also a playback singer.
