Eknath Sambhaji Shinde is a politician who is the current chief minister of Maharashtra. He was also the cabinet minister in the government of Maharashtra. He contests the election from the seat of Pachpakhadi. He has been elected again and again since 2004.
Early Life of Eknath Shinde
Eknath was born on February 9, 1964, in Satara. He hails from a Maratha community. His family was poor so to earn a living they all shifted to the outskirts of Mumbai. He wasn’t able to complete his schooling due to the bad financial condition of his family. He has to work to earn a living. He wasn’t able to resume his studies until 2014 when he joined the government ministry. He graduated from Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University.
Career of Eknath
Shinde was introduced to politics by Anand Dighe who was the president of Thane Shivsena at that time. He joined Shivsena in 1980. Eknath took the place of Anand after his death in 2001. He slowly and gradually raises in the political post and finally, in 2022 he was appointed as the chief minister of Maharashtra by the governor.

Personal Life of Eknath
Shinde is married to Lata Shinde. They both had a daughter & a son but unfortunately, they both died after getting drowned in the lake. This incident put Eknath into depression. Anand took responsibility to take care of him. He gave Eknath more responsibilities to keep him engaged and distracted from that matter. They also have a third child named Shrikant Shinde. Shrikant is an orthopedic surgeon & an MO from the constituency.
