Mumbai is set to host a relaxed evening for poetry and cinema lovers as Katha Ghar Kaano Wala Cinema, in association with Blue Eyes Film Factory, presents Sukhan Aur Cinema on Sunday, August 23, 2026.
The event is planned as a simple gathering where words, stories and films come together in an informal setting. Rather than being a large-scale show, the evening is designed for people who enjoy listening to poetry, shayari and creative performances while spending time with others who share similar interests.
Taking the stage will be a group of poets and performers including Vijay Arsh, Meraj Rampuri, Rehan Kaleem, Sehyun, Honey Patel and Ghazal Sheikh. The programme will also feature performances by Qaseem Hyder Qaseem, Neeraj Neer, Himank, Dishank Bhatt “Shayar” and Qalandar.
The organisers are bringing together different forms of expression for the evening, with poetry, shayari, stories and cinema forming the central theme. The idea is to give audiences an opportunity to sit back, listen and enjoy the performances in a comfortable atmosphere.
Sukhan Aur Cinema will take place at RDX Studio & Cafe, 191, Aram Nagar Part 2, Machlimar, Versova, Andheri West, Mumbai. The programme is scheduled from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM on August 23.
