A picture of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi tweeted by Congress party MP Shashi Tharoor has gone viral on social media.
Shashi Tharoor shared this picture on Monday night, describing the 1954 US tour of Nehru and Indira Gandhi.
Tharoor wrote in his tweet, “Look at this crowd of American people in the picture who had flocked to see the former Prime Minister of India without any special public relations campaign, managing the NRI crowd or any media publicity.”
Shashi Tharoor’s tweet is being shared in pro-Congress Facebook and WhatsApp groups.
But there was a big factual mistake in his tweet, which was later accepted by Shashi Tharoor.
