About – (Gohar Rasheed) In 2008, Rasheed made his stage debut in a production of Bombay Dreams directed by renowned theatrical figure Shah Sharabeel. His role was that of Vikram, an Indian character. His first major role came when he was cast as The Duke of Monroth in the stage adaptation of the musical play Moulin Rouge.
His performance was a smashing success. After that, he played General Zia-ul-Haq in the 2013 political play The Sawa 14 August, written by Anwar Maqsood and Dawar Mehmood. As Iftekhar in the 2014 comedy Half Plate by Anwar and Dawar, he plays a pivotal role.
Along with Samiya Mumtaz, Rasheed made his acting debut in Daddy as a supporting character, but it was his work in the television drama serial Shikwa that garnered him the most attention and praise from audiences.
He is most known for his role as Shaukt in the hit Hum TV show Digest Writer, but he has also guest-starred in the shows Goyaa, Khuda Na Karay, and Nazdeekiyan. Gohar claims that the theatre and film are his forte, and that “TV needs to grow up first because I am not going to end up with roles that have been done hundreds of times.”
