About – (Debaloy Bhattacharya) In the Indian film industry, Debaloy Bhattacharya began his career as an editor; he made his debut with Shoonya (2006) and later worked as an editor in 033 (2009), which also marked his debut as a writer in a feature film. Shoonya was the film in which he made his debut as an editor.
Later in his career, the editor-turned-writer penned the screenplays, as well as the stories and dialogues, for a number of successful Bengali films, such as Obhishopto Nighty (2014), Roga Howar Sohoj Upay, and others.
Roga Howar Sohoj Upay (2015) was Debaloy Bhattacharya’s first feature film directorial venture, and his 2018 venture includes Bidaay Byomkesh (2018), a Bengali drama starring Abir Chatterjee, Sohini Sarkar, Joy Sengupta, and Rahul Banerjee. Both Roga Howar Sohoj Upay (2015) and Bidaay Byomkesh (2018) are directed by Debaloy Bhattacharya.
