Indira Gandhi did wonders during her rule when the public started surrounding her. Finding herself entangled in a web of challenges and decisions, she took such a step in a period which was called a dark period for democracy.
In the trailer, you will also see the character of Sanjay Gandhi who takes his own decisions during Indira’s rule. Sanjay is closing down courts, newspapers, printing presses, everything. Meanwhile, Indira called herself a cabinet and signed a major decision. Then began the dark period of Emergency, which “murdered democracy.” When the atmosphere of hatred against Indira started increasing, she said that she had received only hatred from the country.
