Ahmed Albahrani is an Iraqi entrepreneur, Born and brought up in Tuarej near Baghdad, Iraq on January 12th in 1967. He completed his education from Institute of fine arts in Baghdad and graduated with a diploma of sculpture in 1988 where he was influenced by Abdul Rahim Al Wakil.
Ahmed Albahrani is one of the most talented and creative sculptor of Iraq. Albahrani’s work comprises large scale sculptures of political, religious and popular figures. The sculptor has designed a collection of statues, monuments and murals in Baghdad.
Ahmed recalls that as a child he would withdraw from the games played by other boys to model clay on the riverbank. He also recalls that on school trips he was taken to see some of Iraq’s ancient monuments and that his reaction to them was different to other boys.
Albahrani has participated in several exhibitions inside Iraq and also in some international shows mainly in Qatar, Beirut and UAE. His sculpture is also on public display in several cities of Iraq.
