Park Jimin, also known as Jimin of BTS, is a South Korean singer and dancer. He joined Big Hit Entertainment (changed to HYBES LABEL in march 2021) and made his singing debut as a member of the South Korean boy band BTS ( Bangtan Sonyeondan) in 2013.
EARLY LIFE
Park Jimin was born on October 13, 1995, in Busan, South Korea. He is the elder son in the family and has a younger brother Park Jihyun. From an early age, he was very enthusiastic and passionate about dancing. In middle school, he attended Just Dance Academy and learned different dance forms, such as popping and locking. He knew the contemporary dance form in his high school, i.e. The Busan High School of Arts.
CAREER
He auditioned for Big Hit Entertainment after one of his high school teachers suggested it. He debuted as a member of BTS in the year 2013 with their first solo album, “2 Cool for Skool”. He has released three solos till now: “Lie”, “Serendipity”, and “filter”, all of which became very hit after their release. Jimin became the first BTS member to achieve 100 million views on his solo music video on YouTube when “Serendipity” reached the milestone. In 2022 he released the first OST of his career, ” With You”, with Ha Sung Woon (Korean singer ).
He became the first Korean artist to ever reach #1 on iTunes in a total of 100 countries within five hours.

PERSONAL LIFE
After his debut, Jimin used to live in a cramped apartment with his bandmate. In 2021 Jimin bought a flat in Seoul’s most expensive complex. He was awarded the fifth-class Hwagwan “Order of Cultural Merit” by the President of South Korea in 2018, along with the other members. He has also received the “Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generations and Culture” along with other members. He has performed in the United Nations General Assembly. He also met United States President Joe Biden during their visit to the White House in 2022. He is the maeknae of the group along with jungkook and V.
