Union Minister D V Sadananda Gowda fainted due to low blood sugar at Chitradurga while coming from Shivmoga to Bengaluru on Sunday and was admitted to a hospital here. This information was given by official sources.
He said that Gowda (67) is in stable condition and is undergoing treatment in the hospital.
The Union Minister of Chemical and Fertilizers was brought to the Ester CMI Hospital at 5 pm on Sunday evening.
A hospital spokesman issued a statement saying his condition is stable and will be kept under surveillance for the next 24 hours.
Dr Brinda said Their condition is stable and all things are normal. There is nothing to worry about. We will keep them under surveillance for 24 hours. The cause of fainting was low blood sugar.
Gowda tweeted that his condition was stable.”I was tired because of low blood sugar.Now I am all right. Everything is normal, including Echo, ECG.”
The minister was first admitted to a hospital in Chitradurga and later brought to a private hospital here through an ambulance by zero traffic management.
Gowda was coming from Shivmoga to Bengaluru after attending a meeting of the state BJP.
Sources said, he fainted after greeting party workers and leaders at Chitradurga.
Former Karnataka Chief Minister Gowda was immediately taken to Basaveshwar Medical College and Hospital,Chitradurga.
After treatment there, he was cured and spoke on the phone to BJP leaders and family members.
He was then admitted to bengaluru hospital.This happened due to low blood sugar.He is right now.
