Huge demonstrations are going to be a huge demonstration of farmers in the capital city of Delhi today. These farmers are widely opposing the agricultural laws passed by the centre recently. It is reported that thousands of farmers will be in Delhi today under the banner of Bharatiya Kisan Union. In view of this, Delhi police has tightened security along the border of Haryana in view of the Kisan agitation. At the same time, it has been said to take stringent action against the agitators. The farmers ‘ agitation will affect services on six lines of Delhi Metro.
It may be recalled that various farmers ‘ organisations had announced dharna at Jantar Mantar. According to information, the leaders and functionaries of the Indian Farmers ‘ organization on the Singhu border were gathered on Wednesday. About 50 tractor trolleys from Punjab were 500 to 600 farmers were preparing to enter Delhi. But the police and reserve force of outer North District could not come to Delhi by deploying it on the Singhu border.
A Delhi Police spokesperson said that strict action will be taken against the protesters coming to the capital. It is being told that a large batch of farmers are secretly in a bid to enter the capital. Along with this, police of other districts have also been alerted.
Due to farmer agitation in Delhi, services on different lines of metro will be disrupted today. It has been decided to stop services at many places from morning till two in the afternoon. According to the metro, service will be stopped between Dilshad Garden to Ghaziabad on the Red Line to Major Mohithi Sharma Station. The Metro train between Sultanpur to Guru Dronacharya on the Yellow Line will not run till two o’clock.
The busiest line will also have an impact on the Blue Line. Metro service will not be available from Vaishali to Anand Vihar. Travelers traveling on this line from Ghaziabad will be able to get service from Anand Vihar. Similarly, metro will not run between Noida City Center to New Ashok Nagar.The metro from Tikri Kala to Hoshiar Singh station on the Green Line will be closed from 2 am to 2 am. Violet line from Badarpur border to Mewla Maharajpur section will be closed. According to the metro administration, services in all these places will be affected from morning to noon.
