This is the story of two friends, Subbaraju and Krishna Murthy, living in a village called Atreyapuram. Both of them worked in the same political party and were very good friends with each other.

One night, a Subbaraju’s wife suddenly starts experiencing severe labor pains. Subbaraju’s brother immediately looks for a taxi to take her to the hospital, but due to heavy rains and floods, no vehicle is available.

After a lot of effort, he calls a midwife. But as luck would have it, the baby is born dead. Subbaraju is heartbroken to see this.

He places the dead baby on a table and then hurries to his wife, whose health is continuously deteriorating.
