For a screenwriter nothing can be more gratifying and satisfying than his vision and characters coming to life on screen as the way he has imagined. Written by prolific screenwriter Shahzad Ahmed, ‘Romanticc Tukde’ is one such film which has surpassed all expectations of the writer which has made him proud of the film for the way it has been beautifully shot and effectively presented on screen.
Directed by a master maker Varadraj Swami, ‘Romanticc Tukde’ was released this Friday and is being liked by the cine-going audiences and critics alike. The story and the setting of the film is very unusual. The film showcases the journey of Hindi cinema of the nineties when people used to flock to cinema halls with their families and friends and tickets were sold in black outside the cinema halls. People used to struggle to get desired tickets so that they can watch their favorite films in theatres. it also presents the fact and shows how at the latter stage the same cinema halls started getting shut one by one.
Talking about ‘Romanticc Tukde’ writer Shahzad Ahmed says, “Previously I have written many stories and screenplays for various films but for some reason or the other, my stories were not presented the way I imagined and they don’t come out as effectively as it should have come out which broke my heart in many ways. But ‘Romanticc Tukde’ is one film which I am immensely proud of. The director of the film Varadraj Swami has done a wonderful job with the story and the screenplay.”
Writer of films like ‘Manjhi – The Mountain Man’, ‘Kabaad-The Coin’ and now ‘Romanticc Tukde’, Shahzad Ahmed says, “Director Varadraj Swami has shot ‘Romanticc Tukde’ as realistically as possible and have visualized the whole film in a way that the audiences will relate to the film. It is a film which highlights the relevant issues of our times. It raises the important issue of cinema halls being shut one by one. The look and feel of ‘Romanticc Tukde’ is real and the characters of the film also resemble people around us.”
‘Romanticc Tukde’ stars Pankaj Berry, Amiya Amit Kashyap, Dhama Verma, and Vivekanand Jha in prominent roles. All the actors in the film have perfectly played their parts and through their acting prowess they have made this film more enjoyable. The film has been produced by Vijay Bansal and Priya Bansal, the melodious music of the film has been given by Tutul Bhattacharya while Piyush Mishra and Ketan Mehta have beautifully penned down the lyrics.
