Rohit Sharma was born on April 30, 1987. He was born in Bansod, Nagapur. Gurunath Sharma, his father was a caretaker of a warehouse. Rohit was raised by his grandparents. Rohit also has a younger brother named, Vishal Sharma. In 1999 Rohit joined a cricket camp where after watching and analyzing his talent his coach, Dinesh Lad suggested he change school. He got a scholarship for the new school and trained under Dinesh Lad.

Rohit started playing for the List A Cricket Team with the Deodhar Trophy. Famous players like Ravinder Jadeja & Cheteshwar Pujara started playing in the same match. His team won that match. He also went to Australia & Abu Dhabi with that team. He started his international career with the test match format in 203. He scored a total of 177 runs in that match. He didn’t stop there and went on scoring 111 in the next match at Wankhede Stadium.
