Ravindrasinh Anirudhsinh Jadeja famously known as Ravindra Jadeja is an Indian cricketer. He is an excellent all-rounder who balls and bats left-handed. He was also the captain of the IPL team Chennai Super Kings. He plays for Saurashtra in the first-class league. He is arguably the best defender. He also lead the Indian U-19 team in 2008 and bring the world cup home. He was purchased by Chennai Super Kings for 2 crores in 2012. Later in 2016 Gujarat Lion purchased him for 9.5 crores.

Early Life of Jadeja

Jadeja’s father’ Ravinder wanted him to be an army officer. Jadeja started playing cricket even before the age of 10. Mahendrasinh was the coach of Jadeja in his early days. He started playing as a fast baller. Although later he decided to play left-arm spinner.

Career of Jadeja

Jadeja started playing Under 19 in 2005 when he was just 16. He was selected for the Under-19 World Cup. Everyone was impressed by Jadeja’s performance as he took 3 wickets. He started playing in the ODI format in 2009. He scored 60 runs in 77 balls.

However, he had to wait for four years for his test match debut. He played in a test match format in 2012. He played his first test match against England at Nagpur.

Jadeja has taken over 150 One Day International wickets, he is the first player to achieve this milestone

Jadeja was born on December 6, 1988, in Navagam Ghed, Gujarat. Anirudh, his father was a watchman for a private agency. He wanted Jadeja to be an Army Officer but Jadeja wanted to be a cricketer. Lata, His mother died in an accident. This incident made Jadeja fall into trauma and he almost quit cricket. Jadeja and Reeva Solanki got married in 2016 and gave birth to a baby girl in June 2017.
