Ashwin was born on September 17, 1986, in Chennai. He hails from a Tamil family. He had completed his schooling at St. Bede’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School. He had done his graduation from SSN College of Engineering.
Career of Ashwin
Ashwin started his career as an opening batsman but his gameplay was not up to the mark. He was pushed down in the play order. After that, he turned to Bowler. He started playing first-class cricket for team Tamil Nadu in 2006. He came to the limelight after playing for Chennai Super Kings in 2010. He impressed the selector with his economic balling & was selected for international cricket in 2010. He was the top wicket-taker in the 2010 T20 tournament. He was also a squad member in the 2011 world cup.
Ashwin’s gameplay inside Asia was very good. But on other grounds, he failed to show his magic. In 2013 he took 29 wickets in just four games against Australia. It is a record.
