Renowned spiritual orator Raseshwari Devi has been conferred with the Seva Samman Award at the Spiritual Conclave, Odisha – 2026 on 23rd Feb, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to spreading Upanishadic teachings and spiritual awareness across society. The award was presented on February 23, 2026, by Surama Padhy, Honorable Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly.
The prestigious conclave witnessed the presence of several distinguished dignitaries from Odisha’s political, cultural, and social spheres. Among those present were Pabitra Sounta, Hon’ble MLA of Laxmipur; Mangu Khilla, Hon’ble MLA of Chitrakonda; and Golaka Mohapatra, Vice President, BJP Odisha. Senior leaders Arabinda Dhali, former Cabinet Minister, and Priyadarshi Mishra, former MLA, also graced the occasion.
The conclave further saw the participation of senior BJP leader Sajjan Sharma, along with veteran politician and former minister Suresh Kumar Routray. Adding cultural and artistic eminence to the event were Sudarshan Sahoo, Padma Vibhushan awardee, and Adwaita Gadanayak, Padma Shri awardee, whose presence underscored the conclave’s broader message of spiritual and cultural harmony.
Raseshwari Devi, a leading spiritual discourse speaker of India and a devoted disciple of Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj, began her spiritual journey after completing graduation in Mathematics and post-graduation in English. At the age of 22, she renounced worldly life and embraced sannyas on October 15, 1988. Since then, she has dedicated herself to propagating the essence of Upanishadic wisdom and Krishna devotion across the country.
Over the decades, she has conducted more than 300 spiritual programs across 140 cities in 11 Indian states, with Odisha emerging as one of her most active regions of engagement. Under her guidance, 21 meditation and spiritual practice centres have been established, offering structured platforms for devotion, education, and inner development.
In 2023, Raseshwari Devi leveraged digital platforms to strengthen the Bhakti movement in Odisha’s coastal regions, enabling rural and semi-urban communities to access Upanishadic teachings. Her initiatives such as Bal Sanskar Shivir (2007) and Yuva Utthan Shivir (2014) continue to play a vital role in instilling moral values, self-discipline, and cultural awareness among children and youth.

Earlier, Raseshwari Devi also remained in national focus following her meeting with Droupadi Murmu, Hon’ble President of India, on the occasion of her sannyas diwas, a moment widely regarded as symbolic of India’s respect for spiritual service.
The Seva Samman Award at Spiritual Conclave Odisha 2026 stands as a significant recognition of Raseshwari Devi’s lifelong commitment to spiritual upliftment, social values, and the timeless wisdom of the Upanishads, celebrated in the presence of Odisha’s prominent political, cultural, and social leaders.
