Early life: Raftaar was born on 16 November 1988 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, in a Mayali family and worked hard from an early age. He did every possible thing that comes in his way and defeated every obstacle to gain success.
CAREER:
He initiated his career in 2008 with Lil Golu and Young Amli. At this point, the trio recorded songs and then posted them on social media platforms. He got his first shot at success with the urban music group Mafia Mundeer where he worked as a lyricist and music producer. However, due to some conflicts, Raftaar left the music group, and in 2013, he came up with his music mixtape known as WTF – Witness The Future. In 2013, Raftaar got his first shot in Bollywood with the song “Tamanche Pe Disco,” which got a lot of popularity to Raftaar. Raftaar became the talk of the town with his music release “Swag Mera Desi.” One of the prime reasons behind the popularity of this song was associated controversy with Yo-Yo Honey Singh. One line of the song is “yeh karke dikhao,” which was already included in one of the songs by Yo-Yo Honey Singh. This song by Raftaar was a disc to Yo-Yo Honey Singh, which attracted a lot of attention to Raftaar.
Personal life:
Raftaar got married in 2016 to his beloved Komal Vohra. Komal Vohra is an Interior Designer by profession. Some of their most significant achievements of Raftaar include the ” Best Music Director,” “the Dadasaheb Phalke award” in 2018, and the Brit Asia Awards for the best urban tune of the year in the year 2014. the couple got separated after living separately for a while. The couple filed for divorce in 2020 but due to the pandemic it got delayed.
now the couple has unfollowed each other on social media and they have also deleted the pictures of their wedding.
