Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched the ‘Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan’ scheme. The Prime Minister introduced this scheme through video conferencing. The scheme was launched from Telihar village in Khagaria district of Bihar. The Chief Minister of Bihar was also present in the video conferencing. The aim of the scheme is to provide employment to people who have returned from cities to villages during lockdown in their district.
Under this scheme, 125 days of work will be available in 116 districts of 6 states. Due to which the problem of livelihood faced by the migrant workers can be averted. To give work to the workers, 25 different types of work will be started and people will be able to work according to their skills.
