Early Life of Novak

He was born on May 22, 1987, in Belgrade, Serbia. He started playing tennis at the age of 4 when his parents gifted him a ball and a racket, which was the best toy ever for him. He was sent to a tennis summer camp where he played under the supervision of a tennis player named Jelena Gencic. He trained him for seven years and then suggested Novak go to other countries for better competition. He went to Oberschleibheim academy, Germany.

He trained there for 4 years and then started his international career at the age of 14. And just in his beginning year, he won European Championships in all the categories. Novak reached the final of the Junior Davis Cup in 2001. But unfortunately, he couldn’t win that competition. He reached rank 24 in the junior category.

Novak debuted in Futures and Challenger tournaments and won three from each category in just 2 years of starting his professional career in 2003. He started playing in tour-level tournaments in 2004. He was defeated by Filippo Volandri in round 32. He started playing grand slam tournaments in 2005 with the Australian Open. He managed to reach to the third round of both the US Open & Wimbledon.
