Mumbai: Big news is coming from Mahim Mumbai where a 22-year-old IIT Kanpur graduate boy hanged himself from a fan due to depression. This news is coming from the Mahim area of Mumbai where the deceased has been identified as Rohan Pawan Kumar Jha from Bihar.
According to the Police, Jha had recently graduated from IIT Kanpur. He was a resident of Bihar and got a job in an insurance company through campus placement. After shifting to Mumbai and living with two other people in a 3 BHK flat, he took this step due to depression.
The incident happened at 6 pm on Wednesday when he went to the kitchen locked himself and hanged himself. When the other roommate of the flat saw the kitchen door closed for a long time, he called out but nobody opened the door. Then he along with another friend broke the door and on seeing Rohan Kumar Jha inside, they informed the police. After the police arrived, he was taken to the hospital and he was declared dead.
The police have registered an accidental death report and the matter is being investigated. Senior Inspector Sudhakar Shirsath of the Mahim police station said that: – “We have not received any suicide note yet. It seems that he was troubled for some months due to depression and due to this, he took this step. At present, this case seems to be of depression.”
