Mumbai: Due to the monsoon and regular maintenance on the runways of both Mumbai’s international and domestic airports, passengers will not be able to attend any flight between 11:00 am and 5 pm today.
According to the release of MIAL, the primary runway 09/27, and secondary runway, 14/32 will be temporarily closed on this day at 9 am to prepare a strategy for monsoon preparation at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. No flight will be able to attend these two runways today.
Let us tell you that the airline companies and other stakeholders were informed about this in December 2023 so that the flight schedule could be made accordingly. Along with this, it was also assured that there would be no problem after the maintenance.
Let us tell you that Mumbai Airport is spread over an area of about 1033 acres, with a huge infrastructure network for runways, taxiways and aprons.
