R.Madhavan is an Indian actor, screenwriter, director, and producer who mostly works in Tamil and Hindi films.
Early Life :
Ranganathan Madhavan was born on 1 June 1970 in Jamshedpur, Bihar (now in Jharkhand), India to a Tamil Brahmin family.to Ranganathan Iyengar a management executive in Tata Steel and his mother, Saroja a manager in the Bank of India. His younger sister, Devika, is a software engineer. He had a Tamil-speaking upbringing in Jharkhand. Madhavan did his schooling from D.B.M.S. English School Jamshedpur
Career:
His first chance in Indian cinema ,was in Kannada Film,shanti shanti shanti which was poorly received.
His breakthrough came in Alaipayuthey (2000) directed by Mani Ratnam .It was a commercial success for him .
It was Gautam vasudev Menon film,Minnale,which acclaimed him as a Romantic hero
In 2021, he played a role in Maara (2021) with debut filmmaker Dhilip Kumar, followed by Rocketry: The Nambi Effect (2022), a biopic on rocket scientist Nambi Narayanan that he both directed in and starred in
Personal Life :
He continued to instruct communication and public speaking in workshops all throughout India after receiving his degree. He initially met his wife Sarita Birje at the Maharashtra workshop in 1991 when she enrolled in his class on the advice of her cousins. [180] After finishing the course, Sarita and Madhavan started dating because Sarita was able to use the abilities she had acquired from Madhavan’s classes to succeed in an interview for an air hostess position. The couple wed in 1999.
The couple has a son Vedaant who is a professional swimmer and is representing India.
