Kim Seok- jin, popular as Jin of BTS, is a singer, songwriter, and music composer. He made his debut in 2013 as one of the members of the South Korean Boy band BTS ( bangtan Sonyeondan).
EARLY LIFE
Kim Seok- jin was born in the Gwacheon Province of South Korea on 4 December 1992 . He is the family’s youngest son and has an older brother Kim Seok-Joong. In his childhood, he wanted to become an actor. During his junior high school, he was scouted by SM Entertainment, a south Korean k-pop agency. But he rejected the offer as he was interested in pursuing his career in acting.
CAREER
His career started when he debuted as a member of BTS on 13 June 2013. He was one of the four main vocalists of the group when their first album, “2 cool 4 school,” was released. Apart from being the vocalist for the group, Jin has also released many solo songs such as “Awake,” “Epiphany,” “Moon,” “Tonight,” and “Abyss .” His song Epiphany was released as a trailer for the group, then upcoming album “Love Hours: Answer .” The whole song was later released in their album.
The song charted at four on the Billboard World Digital Singles chart. Jin has also co-hosted many Korean music awards, such as Music Bank and Inkigayo. As a gift to his fan in celebration of his 29th birthday, he released a new song, “Super Tuna,” along with a music video on YouTube. The song became a massive hit and trended in 56 countries. The music video ranked first on YouTube’s World Popular Music Video for eight consecutive days. Jin has announced an upcoming solo titled “The Astronaut” to be released on 28 October, during the group concert in Busan.

PERSONAL LIFE
He was scouted by Big Hit Entertainment for his handsome looks. He joined the Konkuk University of Seoul to major in filmmaking and graduated on 22 February 2017.He and his brother opened a Japanese-style restaurant in Seoul, “Ossu Seiromushi” in 2018. He injured his left hand in march 2022 and had to undergo surgery. The big hit has announced that after completing all the promotional activities for his upcoming song, he will begin the enlistment process of mandatory military service.
