EARLY LIFE OF KARAN AUJLA

Karan’s father died in a car accident, and her mother died of cancer a few years later when he was nine years old. Karan and his sisters later moved to Canada. Karan’s father worked at a cooperative society and had a hobby of writing, so he began writing. Aujla met Jassi Gill in a marriage ceremony while studying in the ninth grade and offered him the lyrics to the song “Range,” which Jassi sang and it became a hit. He attended high school in Burnaby and worked as a longshoreman in Surrey, British Columbia.

In 2014, he released his first single, “Cell Phone,” with Mac Benipal, but it was a commercial flop, garnering only a few thousand views. He met Deep Jandu and Elly Mangat after a few years and began working with them at Toronto Studio. Aujla was attacked in Surrey, Canada, in June 2019.
