The candidacy of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi (Prince) Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been recorded for next year’s Nobel Peace Prize. Their names have been nominated for the work of the two leaders with the aim of establishing bilateral relations between the two countries.
According to information received from the Israeli PM’s office, Nobel laureate Lord David Trimble has registered the candidature of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed of Abu Dhabi. Trimble is the Minister of Northern Ireland and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1998 for the practices made to find a peaceful solution to the conflicts in the country. Since then, they have the privilege of choosing other candidates for this international award.
Nobel Prize Committee will review the candidature of Netanyahu and Al Nahyan. Only then can they be finally selected for the award after a major process. Earlier, some diplomats had tried to nominate US President Donald Trump for the award to lay the foundation for a peace agreement between Israel, Bahrain and the UAE.
