Hardik Patel, an Indian politician and activist, was born on July 20, 1993. In July 2015, he sprang to fame as the leader of the Patidar reservation agitation, which demanded that the Patidar caste be recognised as an OBC.
The year was 2020, and he had just joined the Indian National Congress (INC). For the Indian National Congress (INC), the Gujarat state chapter, he held the position of Working President. At the end of May 2022, he resigned from INC. After being a vocal opponent, he switched parties in June 2022 and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.
EARLY LIFE
Hardik Patel, son of Bharat and Usha Patel, was born on July 20, 1993, into a Patidar family in Gujarat. His family relocated to Viramgam in 2004. Hardik attended Viramgam’s Divya Jyot School for sixth through eighth grades before transferring to K B Shah Vinay Mandir for ninth through twelfth. In addition to loving cricket, he was a financially strapped student. In order to help his father Bharat with his small company, Hardik dropped out of college after finishing the twelfth grade to work on submersible pumps in water wells. A member of the Congress, Bharat was a political activist.
Patel enrolled in Ahmedabad’s Sahajanand College in 2010. There was no opposition to his election as general secretary of the university students’ union. He graduated with a B. Com. in business in 2013.

CAREER
During the 2017 Gujarat Assembly elections, Patel supported the Indian National Congress (INC) candidates. One of Patel’s sex tapes was leaked online in November 2017 and quickly became a social media sensation. Patel claimed that the video served to demonstrate that he was not helpless and had been the victim of corrupt tactics. He signed up with the INC on March 12, 2019. His discriminatory statements on Nepalese people during the 2019 Indian general election campaign, in which he criticised the sitting prime minister, Narendra Modi, have been widely condemned.
On July 11, 2020, he became the Working President of the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee, the INC’s state organisation. He made accusations against the INC administration. Furthermore, He Said Nice Things About The BJP, So They Kicked Him Out Of The Party On May 16 For Being Anti-Party.
He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on June 2, 2022, after vehemently opposing them for years prior.
