After the rape of the student, people are continuously protesting outside the medical college. A suspicious auto driver has been seen in the CCTV and the police is searching for him and this auto driver has been accused of rape. The protesting people are continuously demanding that the accused should be caught as soon as possible and the victim should get justice. It is being told that the auto driver made the victim unconscious by giving her intoxicants and then raped her. After regaining consciousness, the victim called and informed her sister.
The victim narrated her ordeal
After regaining consciousness, the victim said, “Sunday (25 August) was a holiday. I went to my home in Devrukh. As usual, on Monday (26 August) I reached Ratnagiri from Devrukh by 6 am bus. At around 7 in the morning she Got down at Salvi stop in Ratnagiri.Took an auto rickshaw to go to college. On the way, the auto driver gave me water, after drinking which I became unconscious. When I regained consciousness, I saw that all my belongings were scattered in the forest. The clothes are torn. Called my sister and informed her about the incident. The victim told that after somehow reaching the main road, she took help from a bike rider and reached her home.
