Atif Aslam is a playback singer, songwriter, composer, and actor from Pakistan. He is well-known for his vocal belting technique and has recorded several songs in Pakistan and India. Aslam mostly sings in Urdu, but she has also performed in Punjabi, Bengali, and Pashto. In 2008, the Pakistani government awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, the fourth-highest civilian honour. He has also received a lot of Lux Style Awards. In 2011, Aslam made his acting debut in the Urdu social drama film Bol. After being nominated as the most outstanding vocalist in Pakistan, he received a star on the Dubai Walk of Fame in 2019. He was named one of Forbes Asia’s 100 Digital Stars in December 2020.
ATIF ASLAM EARLY LIFE
Atif Aslam was born on March 12, 1983, in Wazirabad, Pakistan, to a Punjabi Muslim family. He attended Kimberley Hall School in Lahore till 1991 when he relocated to Rawalpindi and attended St. Paul’s Cambridge School in Satellite Town. Aslam returned to Lahore in 1995 to pursue his education at a Divisional Public School and College (DPSC) branch. From 1999 to 2001, he attended Fazaia Inter College for his HSSC. Then he moved on to PICS to obtain a bachelor’s degree in computer science. Aslam mentioned in an interview that his dream at the time was to become a professional cricketer.

Meri Kahani, Aslam’s third solo album, was released in 2008 and had 12 songs. Sarmad Abdul Ghafoor directed it. The album was nominated for “Best Album” at the 7th Lux Style Awards in 2008. The album’s single “Hanami Halaat” was nominated for “Best Rock Song” at the 2009 MTV Brrr Music Awards. In 2008, he recorded three renditions of Pritam’s Pehli Nazar Mein and Bakhuda Tumhi Ho from Race and Kismat Konnection, with lyrics by Sameer and Sayeed Quadri. Pehli Nazar Mein catapulted him to mainstream Bollywood prominence and earned him an IIFA Award. On January 25, 2022, Atif Aslam and Aima Baig sang the PSL National Anthem, “Agay Dekh.” On October 27, 2022, Atif Aslam’s new song “Moonrise” featuring Amy Jackson will be released.
