Amit Trivedi is an Indian music director, singer and lyricist. Earlier, he worked as a theatre composer and composed non-film albums. His debut Hindi film as a film composer was Aamir, released in 2008.

AMIT TRIVEDI EARLY LIFE

Trivedi was born into a traditional Gujarati family in Bandra, Mumbai, India. His only musical connections as a child were to Gujarati folk and devotional tunes. Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is the place of his birth. He has two elder sisters, Bhairavi Bhatt Desai and Namrata Vyas.

When Trivedi was younger, he was attracted by an electronic musical instrument. He gradually developed an interest in music, primarily classical music. He started writing music when he was 19 to 20. He joined the band Om during his time in college, which played at small events, live performances, and local engagements. When Times Music offered to release their CD after noticing them at one of their concerts, they hit the jackpot. The lack of advertising contributed to the album’s poor performance. Later, Trivedi composed music for theatre (Hindi, English, and Gujarati plays), television background music, programming for a few Marathi films, live performances, dandiya shows, orchestras, and other genres. He also spent a brief time writing commercial jingles for companies like McDonald’s and Airtel. He has appeared on television in a number of MTV-aired programmes. Additionally, he wrote the theme song for Amitabh Bachchan’s television programme Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi. Additionally, he wrote the music for the RSVP Movies and Guy in the Sky Pictures feature Kedarnath, which was released in 2018.
