Several Bollywood stars attended the ‘David Dhawan Film Festival’ in Mumbai on Saturday. Salman Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Sajid Nadiadwala were among the celebrities present at the event. However, the absence of Govinda became the biggest talking point of the evening. While his son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, and daughter, Tina Ahuja, were seen at the event, Govinda himself did not attend.
During the 1990s, the duo of Govinda and David Dhawan delivered numerous superhit films to Bollywood. Consequently, Govinda’s failure to attend the festival has once again fueled speculation regarding the state of their relationship. A few years ago, in an interview, Govinda revealed that a specific remark made by David Dhawan had deeply hurt him, leading to his decision never to work with him again.
Salman Hilariously Roasts Varun Dhawan
During this film festival, several of David Dhawan’s hit films were re-released in theaters. Additionally, there was a discussion regarding his upcoming film, ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’.
During the event, Salman Khan playfully teased Varun Dhawan in a lighthearted manner. Laughing, Salman Khan joked that Varun Dhawan had again used one of his songs. Hearing this, Varun smiled shyly and folded his hands, saying, “Bhai, please leave it now.” Their fun moment is now going viral on social media.
