Biography: Anagha Ratish was born on July 25, 2008 in Kerala. She is currently an eighth grade student at Heritage Xperiential Learning School, Gurgaon. She began writing short stories at the age of six, and published her first book at twelve. Apart from reading and writing, she enjoys singing, listening to music, knitting and crocheting.

Celestia Chronicles
Anagha Ratish’s first book, Celestia Chronicles: Fire and Water was published on December 15 2020, and is the first of a planned trilogy. Although the second book in the series has not yet been published, she regularly posts quotes, snippets and updates about it. She recently announced that she has finished writing the book, and has titled it ‘Celestia Chronicles: The Ashes of Hope). Celestia Chronicles revolves around the story of Adaire Quicksilver, who is a fourteen year old human girl. When she accidentally trips through the worlds, into Celestia, she is astonished to discover that her own powers have been unlocked. A pixie, Sapphire Windsley finds her and recognizes the seriousness of this. Using her enhanced powers, Adaire must defeat an evil queen that she has only just learned about; Queen Zyra, who has concealed her kingdom in a concoction of magic and mist. The book ends in a cliffhanger. Within a few months of its release, the book has been critically acclaimed by many reviewers.
A World of Intricacies
A World of Intricacies is the author’s second book, and was published on June 28 2021. She describes it as ‘a collection of poems and musings’. It is a compilation of 38 long poems, along with 15 haikus. The topics of these poems flutter across what suits the author’s fancy, touching upon the idea of good and evil, hope, time, and the fascinating aspect of perception and perspective.

Anagha Ratish took just four months to write Celestia Chronicles. She taught herself to be mostly ambidextrous, at the age of eleven Her favorite book genres are fantasy, horror and murder mysteries.
She loves to knit, embroider, crochet and write terribly sad poetry. Before writing Celestia Chronicles, she wrote a novella called ‘Half Metal’. It was sci-fi, but Anagha never published it. In an interview, she claimed to have used some of the elements of her previous novella in ‘Celestia Chronicles: Fire and Water’. When she gets the time, she also reviews Children’s and YA books on her blog (Reveries and Bibliophilia) or her instagram pages- @anagharatish, @reveriesandbibliophilia
