On the occasion of the launch of smart e-bicycle on Friday, Indian tennis star Leander Paes said he wants to participate in the record eighth Olympic Games and is working hard to participate in the Games in Tokyo next year.
At Christmas last year Paes had said that 2020 would be his last session including the Tokyo Olympics.
Paes said that then nobody thought that we would have to face such a great epidemic. It is going to introspect for all of us.
But after this long relaxation I feel good. There is no doubt in my mind that I will be physically, mentally and emotionally prepared. It is important for me to ensure that India’s name remains in the history books and that is why I have been playing for 30 years.
I have record of playing in seven Olympics and my motivation is whether I can take it to eight Olympics. I believe that India’s name will always be recorded in the record of playing in the highest Olympics in tennis.
