Maharashtra government extended the lockdown period in the state on Friday till 31st December, 2020 in view of coronavirus. This information was given in an official release. In the last 2-3 months, the government has given some relaxation in lockdown restrictions.
According to the communique, the revised guidelines have been issued from time to time and then the restoration of various activities was allowed under the mission.
Early this week, the Government had allowed the opening of shrines. Schools have also been opened for students from 9th to 12th classes in some parts of the state.
The state reported 6,185 new cases of infection during the last 24 hours, the total number of infections increased to 18,08550 across 18 lakh. According to official sources, the number of 4,089 and patients being recovery in the same period has gone up to 16, 72627 and the death of 85 more patients has gone up to 46,898.
The rate of recovery of patients in the state declined marginally to 92.48 per cent while the mortality rate was just 2.62 per cent. It is noteworthy that Maharashtra is ranked first in terms of corona infection and death across the country. The most active cases are also in the same state.
