When the journalist remarked that it was a simple question, Riteish calmly replied that while the question was theirs to ask, the decision to answer it.or not was entirely his. He said that as a host, he does not know in advance who will appear on the show and is only responsible for interacting with the guests and contestants. The first season was released on MX Player and ALTBalaji.
A major change is in store for this season: while Kangana Ranaut hosted the first season, Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh will appear as ‘jailers’ in the new season. Meanwhile, discussions regarding Netflix’s standing in India have intensified. Netflix has big stars and big-budget shows, but it is still less popular in India than Amazon Prime and JioHotstar.
Experts say Lock Upp 2 could bring more viewers to Netflix. They also believe Netflix is less popular because its subscription is more expensive than other streaming platforms.
