Director David Dhawan displayed his emotional side at the trailer launch event for the film ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’. His eyes welled up with tears as he praised his son, Varun Dhawan. David remarked that every parent deserves to have a son like Varun.
He shared that when he was hospitalized, Varun stayed by his side constantly even sleeping right there in the hospital room. Praising his son further, David noted that Varun is continuously evolving as an actor and pours his heart and soul into his work.
Father-Son Duo to Appear Together for the Fourth Time
In the film ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’, Varun Dhawan will be seen in the lead role alongside Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde. Additionally, Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever, Chunky Pandey, and Maniesh Paul are also part of the cast. This marks the fourth collaboration between David and Varun. Previously, the duo has worked together on ‘Main Tera Hero’, ‘Judwaa 2’, and ‘Coolie No. 1’.
The film follows a young man whose love life keeps failing. Later, his life changes completely after an unexpected twist. Varun Dhawan will be seen in a double role in the film, playing both a simple boy-next-door and a mature character. Recently, Varun was seen in Border 2, where he played Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya. The film earned around ₹450 crore worldwide.
