Filmmaker Rajiv Rai has leveled serious allegations against the makers of the film “Dhurandhar 2”. He claims that the famous songs from his film Tridev“Oye Oye” and “Tirchi Topiwale” have been used without permission. In an interview, he described this not merely as a remix, but as “creative theft.” He asserts that permission to use these songs in such a manner was never granted.
He further alleged that Director Aditya Dhar and his team recreated these songs without obtaining the necessary licenses, thereby infringing upon the rights of the original creators. The controversy grew bigger when reports came out that the song “Rang De Lal” from “Dhurandhar 2” is actually a new version of the old hit “Oye Oye.” After this, Trimurti Films decided to take legal action, and now the case has reached the court.
Rajiv Rai says this is not just about one song, but about respect for the entire creative industry. According to him, if old songs keep getting used without permission, the original artists will slowly lose their identity and recognition.
On the other hand, the team of “Dhurandhar 2” has not given any official response yet. Even though the film is doing well at the box office, this controversy is starting to affect its image among the public.
