Andheri, Mumbai – In a moving tribute to the nation’s healthcare heroes, the PS Foundation hosted a grand celebration on the occasion of Doctors’ Day, commemorating not just the contribution of doctors but also the successful first anniversary of its flagship initiative, the Chalta Firta Mofat Dawakhana — a free mobile medical service bringing healthcare directly to those in need.
The event opened with a powerful multimedia presentation chronicling the Foundation’s journey over the past year. The audience witnessed an inspiring showcase of various medical and social welfare programs spearheaded by the Foundation, including health camps, surgical support, medicine distribution, and aid for marginalized communities.
One of the evening’s major highlights was a special spotlight on the Chalta Firta Mofat Dawakhana. This innovative mobile ambulance initiative has been a lifeline for countless underprivileged residents across Andheri, offering free medical consultation, treatment, and essential medicines right at their doorsteps. In just a year, the project has positively impacted thousands of lives — especially those who face economic or physical barriers in accessing healthcare.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Pradeep Sharma, Founder of PS Foundation, delivered an emotional address:
“Doctors are not just professionals; they are Gods on earth. Their hands heal, their presence brings hope, and their service saves lives. They are the true protectors of humanity.”
His heartfelt words echoed through the hall, drawing warm applause and reinforcing the spirit of gratitude that marked the celebration.
A special felicitation ceremony followed, where distinguished doctors who have supported the Foundation’s mission were honoured as Guests of Honour. Their selfless dedication during medical camps and consultations was deeply appreciated.
Equally recognized were the behind-the-scenes heroes — the core team members of PS Foundation — who manage the ambulance fleet, coordinate medical support, distribute medicines, and ensure that healthcare reaches the last mile. Their tireless efforts have been instrumental in the success of the mobile clinic.
Mrs. Swikriti Sharma, President of PS Foundation and the force behind the event’s seamless organization, took center stage to address the gathering. Her words captured the Foundation’s vision moving forward:
“This is just the beginning. Our mission is to ensure healthcare is not a privilege, but a right — accessible to all, regardless of income or background. No one should ever be denied treatment due to lack of funds.”
Over the past year, PS Foundation has extended its support to critical surgeries and chronic illness treatments — from angioplasty and cataract operations to cancer therapy and diabetes care — all at no cost to patients.
To further uphold the ideals of mobility and dignity, the Foundation also distributed free wheelchairs to the differently-abled during the event, bringing smiles and tears of joy to the beneficiaries and their families.
The most touching part of the evening came with emotional testimonials from patients who have benefited from the Foundation’s services. Their stories — filled with struggle, survival, and gratitude — brought alive the real impact of the Foundation’s work.
As the event drew to a close, it left behind a lasting impression — one of hope, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to community welfare. With its motto of “Healthcare for All”, PS Foundation continues to make meaningful strides in building a healthier and more inclusive society — one patient at a time.
