The trailer of Bollywood star Varun Dhawan and South superstar Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s much-awaited web series ‘Citadel: The Honey Bunny’ has been released in Mumbai. On this occasion, Varun talked about the limited opportunities he gets for action films in the industry. He said that only a director from the South recognized his acting potential.
Varun also shared an incident when he was talking to famous director Aditya Chopra while playing badminton during the lockdown. He asked Aditya why he was not cast in the action film. Aditya told him that he wanted to give him an acting role, but due to lack of big budget it was not possible.
Apart from Varun and Samantha, Citadel: Honey Bunny also stars Sikandar Kher, Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem and Shivankit Parihar. The series will release on Amazon Prime Video on November 7. Varun thanked Amazon Prime Video and Raj & DK for the project.
Varun’s upcoming project Baby John is also an action packed film starring Jackie Shroff and Keerthy Suresh.
