According to the information, BMC has named this junction as Sridevi Kapoor Chowk to honor Sridevi. Sridevi lived in Green Acres Tower in this area which is on this road. Her last journey also passed through this road. After this, the Municipal Corporation decided to name this road after Sridevi Kapoor.
