Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the remaining two matches of the T20 series against Australia. He will not be able to play further due to a head injury. He has been replaced by fast bowler Shardul Thakur in the team. Jadeja suffered a head injury from Mitchell Starc’s ball in the first T20 match against Australia.
After this, BCCI medical team examined him in dressing form. After this, Jadeja was stopped from playing further. In his place, Yuzvendra Chahal joined the match as a replacement.
The BCCI said that Jadeja will remain under surveillance. On 5 December morning, he will be taken for a scan based on his assessment. Jadeja did a terrific performance in Canberra. He scored an unbeaten 44 off 30 balls in batting and led the team to a score of 161 runs. This score proved to be enough for Team India to win. India won the first T20 by 11 runs and took a 1-0 lead in the series.
