In Telangana, a woman accused of raping 139 people, according to media reports, the woman’s ex-husband’s family is also involved in this case.
The woman has alleged that in the last few years, 139 people raped her. Police said on Friday that a case has been registered on this complaint. The woman got divorced in 2010 after a year of marriage. She said in the complaint that some relatives of her former husband also sexually assaulted her. The woman has been sent for a medical test.
According to the police station, the investigation has been started after registering the case. She said in the complaint that some of her ex-husband’s family members also sexually assaulted her.
Rape accused arrested in Noida
On the other hand, in the police station area of Gautam Budh Nagar district in Uttar Pradesh, police have arrested a person accused of rape. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Zone III) Vishal Pandey said that a woman living in Jahangirpur town of Thana Jewar lodged a report in Thana Jewar that Vishal (23), who was a tenant in her house, raped her last night.
He said that the police arrested the accused on Friday (August 21) morning. The woman has been sent to the district hospital for medical examination. The officer said that the accused was later produced in the court from where he has been remanded to 14 days judicial custody.
There is a provision of punishment under 376 and 375 in the India Penal Code on rape of a woman. The accused of raping any woman is tried under Section 376. In which in case of proven crime, there is a provision to punish the guilty for at least five years and maximum 10 years. This crime has been divided into sections 375, 376, 376A, 376B, 376C, 376D according to different circumstances and category.
