The Supreme Court on Friday said that the interim bail granted to journalist Arnab Goswami and two others in the two-year-old abetment to suicide case will continue till the Bombay High Court settles the petition and also said that the judiciary should It should be ensured that criminal law does not become a weapon to selectively harass citizens.
Arnab was granted interim bail by the Supreme Court on 11 November. A bench headed by Justice DY Chandrachud highlighted the reasons for giving relief to the TV journalist and two others in the case. The bench said that the interim bail of journalist Arnab Goswami would remain for four weeks from the day the Bombay High Court decided on the petition filed in the abetment to suicide.
