Sonu Kakkar was born on October 20, 1979, in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. Niti Kakkar is Sonu’s mother’s name. Her father, Rishikesh Kakkar, had a fast-food street restaurant. Her siblings and fellow Bollywood singers are Neha Kakkar and Tony Kakkar. Tony Kakkar also works as a music composer in Bollywood. Sonu Kakkar was accepted to Holy Public School in Delhi, where she finished her studies. Sonu Kakkar has never attended college to further her education. She used to conduct religious stage concerts in Delhi, where she sang bhajan. Tony and Neha used to perform in her theatrical acts, and everyone adored them. Sonu Kakkar began singing at the age of five. At jagratas, she used to sing bhajan. She travelled to Mumbai to compete in Indian Pop Star. Because of her skill and sweet voice, Bollywood music director Sandeep Chowta allowed her to perform Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo from the film Dum. Sonu’s debut song transformed her career because it was a smash and earned her honours. Sonu later sang songs such as Seduction Saawariya, Lawaani, Ishq Da Tadka, and Mundyaa. After releasing her solo effort, Urban Munda, she became recognised in 2014. Sonu Kakkar stated in an interview that she was never schooled in music and learned it independently.
