Shakti Mohan was born in Delhi, India, on October 12, 1985. Brijmohan Sharma and Kusum Mohan are her parents. Neeti and Mutki, her siblings, are audio and video composers, with Mutki working like a modern artist. She aspired to be an Indian Administrative Service officer before appearing on Dance India Dance (DID). Shakti suffered a severe injury as a child, and doctors predicted she would probably never be capable of walking again. She was able to recover from her condition, however, thanks to the assistance provided by her family. She began her educational studies in her hometown. After completing her undergraduate studies there, she moved to a neighbouring city for further education.
