Facts – In recent times, it has been public knowledge that Screw Dheela has experienced severe financial difficulties. As the budget for the massive blockbuster hit Rs 150 crore, the Karan Johar-produced drama was cancelled. The teaser, meanwhile, did not receive the enthusiastic reception that the creators had hoped for. Since Tiger’s latest film, Heropanti 2, bombed, his box office appeal is in question.
Controversy – After witnessing the 2 minutes and 59 seconds of Screw Dheela’s film announcement, one has to question if either Karan Johar’s or Tiger Shroff’s “screws” were loose. Since the film doesn’t come out in theatres until almost a year from now, it’s too soon to tell how well Johar’s directing debut will do. The teaser, however, makes it clear that the show’s creators want to follow in the footsteps of previous Tiger Shroff action movies, providing viewers with nothing new.
