Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the centenary year celebrations of Lucknow University on Wednesday. He will be involved through video conferencing at 5:30 pm. On the occasion, the Prime Minister will release a commemorative coin on completion of 100 years of establishment of the University. On the occasion, he will also release a special stamp postage stamp and a special cover issued by the Indian Postal Department. Defence Minister, Governor of Uttar Pradesh and Chief Minister will also be present on the occasion.
A coin of Rs. 100 will be issued in the name of Lucknow University. The main thing is that after the University of Mysore and banaras Hindu University, Lucknow University will be the third university to be issued a commemorative coin on completion of 100 years. The coin has been minted at the government mint in Mumbai, it will be a property in the coffers of Lucknow University. Silver, bronze, copper and nickel have been used in coin casting.
University spokesperson Dr. Durghesh Srivastava said that according to renowned currency scientist Sudhir Lunawat of Bikaner currency scientist Sudhir Lunawat, it will be a non-circuiting coin and will have the Lucknow University centenary celebrations engraved in English and Hindi along with the year 1920-2020 and the centre will have the logo of the university.
